A renowned investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has countered a recent statement that was made by the former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, claiming that the people of the South East region are good businessmen and women, but not good at politics.

In an online post, David Hundeyin stated it clearly that the Igbos may not be good at politics, but 4 of the 10 States with highest Human Development Index (HDI) are in the South East and 14 of the bottom 14 are in the North. He made it known that the north might be good at elections, but they are terrible in politics.

Mr Hundeyin further stated that the ultimate measure of how good at politics they are is the quality of life they are able to provide for their people. Ending his tweet, he made it known that if their only measure is by election, they should go ahead.
