The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across parts of the state over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.
The enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA said the affected establishments had allegedly continued to violate environmental regulations despite repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply with the agency’s directives.
Among the establishments sealed was the Celestial Church of Christ (Aduragbemi Parish) in Ikotun, which was shut over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with environmental directives.
Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, was also sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance.
Other affected establishments included Feixiang Plastic on LASU-Ojo Road; Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando; Keviz Hotel & Suites on LASU-Iba Road; DSN Hotel & Suites on LASU-Igando Road; Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Igando Road; Limas in Abaranje, Ikotun; Nico Hotel & Suites in Ejigbo; Kobo Night Club in Agodo-Egbe; Master Furniture on Idimu-Ikota Road; and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun.
According to the agency, the specific violations included noise pollution, non-compliance with its directives and, in the case of Keviz Hotel & Suites, obstruction of duty.
LASEPA said the enforcement was carried out in line with the Lagos State Government’s directives to ensure compliance with environmental laws and protect public health.
The agency added that the action was aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier and safer environment for residents.
Speaking on the operation, LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.
Ajayi urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices, obtain the necessary permits and approvals, and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
He also called on stakeholders to cooperate with LASEPA in its efforts to promote a cleaner and more sustainable Lagos.
The agency said it would continue enforcement operations against establishments that violate environmental regulations across the state.
