Police Operatives Conduct House-to-House Search in Kano: Police operatives

in Kano have launched a thorough house-to-house search operation to recover

stolen properties looted by hoodlums during the recent “end bad governance”

protest in the state. The protest, which initially began peacefully, took a violent

turn when hijacked by armed hoodlums who targeted public and private facilities,

making off with valuable items.

Residents of the Gyadi-Gyadi area in Tarauni Local Government Area reported

seeing police officers conducting searches in their neighborhood. Abba Sani,

a local resident, described the scene: “I heard a commotion outside my

apartment and was informed that police operatives were searching for looted properties.

They recovered some items, prompting me to check my backyard to ensure no stolen goods were hidden there.”

the witness

Another resident, Khadija Bala, witnessed the police breaking into a nearby

house and recovering looted items, including iron rods, pedestrian barriers, and new mattresses. “The operatives are still conducting a house-to-house search for stolen properties,” she added.

The police operation is based on credible intelligence leading to the recovery of looted properties. This effort follows the arrest of at least 326 suspects involved in looting and

vandalism during the protest, as announced by the Kano State Police Command.

The police are working to restore order and recover stolen goods, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
