Enugu State Announces Traffic Diversions as New Haven Junction Undergoes Two-Week Road Rehabilitation

On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, through the office of the Honorable Commissioner, issued a public notice alerting motorists and road users about upcoming road rehabilitation at New Haven Junction along Bisalla Road.

In a letter signed by the commissioner Engr Gerald C. Otiji, the construction of the New Haven Junction will begin at midnight on Tuesday, November 5, and is expected to last two weeks, concluding on November 19, 2024.

To reduce traffic congestion, motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes, including the New Haven-Nza Street Link Road, New Haven Market/Phone Village Road, and internal routes within the Ebeano Housing Estate, particularly from UBA by Otigba to Spring of Life School near Bisalla Road. Drivers are advised to adhere to traffic guidance provided on-site, follow designated diversion signs, and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed to manage flow. Delays may occur, so travelers are advised to plan their routes in advance, exercise patience, and prioritize safety. The Ministry thanks the public for their cooperation and understanding as they work to improve infrastructure under the “Tomorrow is Here” initiative.
