Guardiola Ends 30-Year Marriage with Wife

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, and his wife, Cristina Serra, have ended their 30-year relationship. The separation, described as amicable and friendly, follows their long journey together, which began in 1994 when they first met. The couple married in 2014 near Barcelona and have three children: Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17.

Reports suggest that the couple had been growing apart, especially over the past five years due to Guardiola’s demanding managerial roles in different countries. While Guardiola resides in Manchester, Serra, a Brazilian journalist, has been living in Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina. Despite their separation, the family spent Christmas together.

The decision to part ways was finalized in December, with only close friends and family initially aware of the development. Confidentiality has been a priority for those close to the couple. Serra moved back to Barcelona in 2019 to focus on her career in fashion with her family’s business, Serra Claret.

Meanwhile, Guardiola recently committed to a new two-year contract with Manchester City, extending his tenure with the Premier League champions until 2027, despite rumors about his future at the club. He remains focused on his managerial duties, with Manchester City currently preparing for an upcoming game against Brentford. The team stands sixth in the Premier League table, and Guardiola hopes to channel his full energy into their on-pitch performance amid this personal transition.
