Ondo State Governor Dissolves Cabinet, Retains Attorney General and Finance Commissioner

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect, sparing two key cabinet members whose roles are deemed critical. The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, were excluded from the reshuffle due to the essential nature of their positions.

The announcement was made through a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan. In the statement, the affected officials were directed to transfer all government properties under their care to the accounting officers of their respective ministries.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his appreciation to the outgoing cabinet members for their contributions to the state’s progress during their tenure. He commended their dedication and efforts toward the development of Ondo State and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.

The statement emphasized the governor’s gratitude, stating, “All the affected cabinet members are to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officers of their respective ministries. Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the EXCO members for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State under his administration and wished them well in their future endeavours.”

This action is seen as a deliberate move by the governor to restructure his administration for enhanced efficiency and improved service delivery in the state. The decision highlights the administration’s commitment to adapting strategies to meet the evolving needs of the people of Ondo State.
