Military Offensive Forces Bello Turji to Release 15 Hostages After Son’s Death

Bello Turji, identified as the nation’s most notorious terrorist, has suffered a significant setback due to an intensified military operation that forced him to release no fewer than 15 hostages. This development comes after reports emerged that his son was killed in a coordinated military offensive executed by air components and Operation Fansan Yanma.

Operation Fansan Yanma was launched to address escalating criminal activities and security challenges in the North West region. Recently, the initiative has achieved notable successes, including the surrender of two prominent terrorist leaders, Abu Radde and Umar Black, who had been responsible for instilling fear in Katsina State and surrounding areas.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Defence Media Operations, these synchronized military offensives have successfully dismantled multiple terrorist camps, resulting in significant casualties among their ranks.

The statement emphasized that joint efforts by ground troops and air support had led to the destruction of terrorist hideouts. Additionally, troops managed to recover various weapons and ammunition during the operation while securing the release of 15 individuals previously held captive by the insurgents.

The military reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the momentum of its operations. Efforts to apprehend high-profile targets like Bello Turji remain ongoing, with the aim of either compelling their surrender or neutralizing them on the battlefield.

Furthermore, the statement highlighted the overarching objective of these operations: to eradicate terrorism and ensure that perpetrators are rendered incapable of executing attacks on innocent citizens. This reflects a broader strategy aimed at restoring peace and security to the affected regions.
