A Permanent Board Member, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Dr. Nwakaego M. Aja made this known while speaking on the topic “New Academic Calendar … Enugu State Smart Green Schools and Matters Arising,” on the programme, Beyond the Headlines on Freedom Square TV, anchored by Uchenna Cyril Anioke.

Aja stated that more than 100 smart schools spread across various wards in Enugu State are fully ready to commence academic activities.

She explained that the initiative is part of the government’s commitment to transforming education through modern infrastructure and technology-driven learning.

According to her, “ the 100 smart green schools are ready for resumption by 22nd September while the several others are at different stages of completion, with most already 80% completed.”

She emphasized that the smart schools project will not only enhance access to quality education but also equip young learners with digital skills needed for the future.

Aja commended the pace of work and reiterated the government’s determination to deliver on its promise of making Enugu a model state for educational advancement in Nigeria.
