The presiding judge at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice Binta Nyako, on Tuesday refused to admit to bail the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The judge, who has been noted for her ‘delay tactics’, however, held that Mazi Kanu should account for his whereabouts for years when he was first granted bail but refused to attend court for trial.
Mazi Kanu had fled the country after Nigerian soldiers stormed his house at Afra-Ukwu Ibeku in Abia State allegedly killing scores and destroying properties.
The Federal Government later brought the IPOB leader back to Nigeria through a clarified circumstances from Kenya some months ago.
