The newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu on Tuesday resigned his membership of the upper chamber of the National Assembly, the Nigerian Senate.
Adamu who was elected as the ruling APC National Chairman at the party’s convention on March 26, resigned alongside the party’s Deputy Chairman (North), Abubakar Kyari, who represented Borno North at the Senate.
Kyari was also elected at the same convention as APC Deputy Chairman (North).
Both Senators’ resignation were stated in letters read on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
