The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a statement assuring investors of the safety and viability of investing in Alaigbo, the South-east region of Nigeria. The group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, commended Evangelist Ebuka Obi, founder of the Zion Ministry, for relocating his ministry’s headquarters to Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State, and urged other Igbo businessmen and women to follow suit.
IPOB emphasized that the South-east region is big and safe enough to accommodate investments, citing the success of existing businesses such as Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Ibeto groups, and Masters Energy Ltd. The group encouraged Ndigbo to bring back their investments, industries, and properties to Alaigbo, warning that failure to do so may lead to regret.
The statement also commended the people of Ngor Okpala for releasing their land for the Zion Ministry project and urged Ndigbo to prepare and relocate their businesses to Alaigbo. IPOB emphasized its responsibility to build up the region and make Alaigbo an investment destination and economic hub in Africa.
Furthermore, the group saluted existing businesses in the South East that have provided jobs for the people and commended courageous farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs in the region. IPOB urged the Ngor Okpala youths to work towards making the area a crime-free zone and encouraged Ndigbo home and abroad to summon courage and return their investments to Alaigbo.
The statement concluded by emphasizing IPOB’s commitment to maintaining safety and security in Alaigbo through its Eastern Security Network (ESN) operatives, and encouraged Ndigbo to bring out the greatness in their land by investing in it.
Overall, IPOB’s statement aims to promote economic development and investment in the South-east region, while also emphasizing the importance of safety and security in attracting and retaining investments. The group’s call to action encourages Ndigbo to take responsibility for building up their region and creating a prosperous future for generations to come.
