Ejike Ani Joins APC, Pledges Support for Uche Nnaji’s Vision and Leadership

As the 2027 general elections approach, political activity is intensifying, with prominent figures making significant moves. One such figure is Hon. Ejike Ani, the former Local Government Chairman of Nkanu East, who has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made at a ceremony held at the Amechi Idodo/Oruku Ward, where Ani was welcomed alongside his supporters.

During the event, Chief Ani expressed his enthusiasm for joining the APC, stating that he was drawn to the party due to its promising direction and clear vision for the future. He emphasized that the time for empty political promises had passed, and he found the concrete achievements of Minister Hon. Uche Nnaji particularly appealing. According to Ani, Nnaji’s leadership and the progress he has facilitated in the region are key reasons for his decision to align with the APC.

Ani, who is known for his strong grassroots mobilization efforts, also assured that the upcoming local government declaration would see an even larger turnout of his supporters. While the ward-level event was significant, Ani promised that the local government declaration would be a more substantial and impactful show of support.

Before joining the APC, Ani had resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), signaling a shift in his political allegiance. His move to the ruling party adds to the growing momentum as the elections draw closer.
