ENSIEC Announces LG Screening Dates for August 31 to September 3

The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) has released an important public notice regarding the upcoming local government elections in Enugu State.

According to an announcement signed by the ENSIEC Executive Chairman, Professor Christian Chimbudem Ngwa, Ph.D., MNAL, the screening of political party candidates for both chairmanship and councilorship positions will be conducted in the coming days.

The screening process is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 31, 2024, and will continue until Tuesday, September 3, 2024. All councilorship candidates from the various political parties are expected to undergo their screening on Saturday, August 31, 2024. This exercise will take place at their respective senatorial district headquarters, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, the screening for chairmanship candidates is set to take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. This screening will be held at the ENSIEC headquarters, also starting at 10:00 a.m. ENSIEC urges all candidates to adhere strictly to this schedule and ensure their presence at the designated locations on the specified dates and times.
