In a recent development, the Friends Initiative led by the Coordinator, Hon. Cornelius Edeh, and the Grand Patron, Igwe Godwin Arum Okeke, has affirmed its resolve to hit the ground running once the ban on governorship electioneering was lifted by the INEC on October 11, 2022.
The group which made this known at Mbah’s residence in Enugu on Saturday, said they visited to congratulate him on his emergence and to re-echo their firm resolve to continue to market his candidacy in all the corners of the state.
Responding to them, the PDP governorship front runner, Mr Peter Mbah appreciated their efforts over the years in keeping faith with his candidacy despite being ridiculed in some quarters.
“I want to thank you for your support. This is something you have been doing in the last two years, and I have no doubt where you stand. We shall continue to be sincere in our approaches to issues and to people,” he said.
Mbah who reeled out the snippets of what to expect in his manifesto for the state and when the party wins the elections in 2023, said the PDP is the dominant political party in the state with over 95% chance of clinching victory in the forthcoming elections having performed, over the years, to the satisfaction of the people.
He further accused other parties of not having programmes and agenda for the state challenging them to a public debate during campaign period for the electorate to assess the most qualified candidate for the top job in the state.
“We have the character, competence and intellectual capacity to bequeath to our children a fulfilling, dignified and ideal future where they can live a happy life with the best standard of infrastructure through our programmes and policies,” he added.
