Enugu State Government Announces Town Hall Meeting with Governor Mbah on December 14

The Enugu State Government has announced a town hall meeting with His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State. Themed “Issues of Governance – The Journey So Far,” the event aims to engage Ndi Enugu and discuss the state’s progress and challenges in governance.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Banquet Hall, Old Government Lodge, Enugu. The program will commence at 12:00 noon, and participants are required to be seated by 11:00 a.m.

Representatives from various stakeholder groups are invited, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), heads of broadcast stations, civil society organizations, non-governmental and community-based organizations, clergy members, and representatives of people living with disabilities. Additional groups such as student unions, youth councils, women groups, business owners, traditional rulers, town unions, market unions, transport unions, private school proprietors, organized labor members, and leaders of non-indigene groups are also expected. Security agency heads and the Inter-party Advisory Council will be present as well.

This gathering offers an inclusive platform for dialogue between the government and diverse stakeholders, reflecting the administration’s commitment to transparency and participatory governance.
