A tragic and horrifying event unfolded in Orozo, Abuja, where gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi was apprehended during a church service for allegedly carrying the severed head of his girlfriend in a sack. The discovery was made after a fellow church member, acting on a strong intuition, stopped Ajayi to inspect the contents of the sack he brought into the church. Upon opening it, the congregants were shocked to find the freshly severed head of a young woman, reportedly styled in “million braids.”

The discovery immediately caused alarm among worshippers, who restrained Ajayi and interrogated him on the spot. He confessed that the victim was his girlfriend, who had traveled from a distant location to visit him. Ajayi explained that a heated argument between them escalated when the victim allegedly grabbed a knife. In his attempt to disarm her, he claimed to have unintentionally stabbed her fatally. He further admitted to dismembering her body, stating that the remaining parts were still in his house.

A video, shared by SaharaReporters, shows Ajayi seated on the ground, being questioned by an angry crowd before police arrived to take him into custody. The incident was also documented by a church member, Umaru Caleb, who expressed his shock and disbelief, stating, “I thought things like this only happened in movies until I experienced it live today.”

The victim, who had been in a romantic relationship with Ajayi for over a year, reportedly had dreams of marriage with the singer. Tragically, her father had passed away just last June, adding to the heartbreak of her untimely death.

As of now, police authorities in Abuja have yet to release an official statement regarding the case, leaving the public awaiting further details on this disturbing incident.
