There is tension and confusion as the long awaited battle over who becomes the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate for 2023 seemed over with the party National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu’s announcement that Senator Ahmed Lawan has emerged as the consensus candidate.
However, following this announcement, the Northern States Governors’ Forum had a meeting with President Buhari according to Daily Trust. They opted for the presidency to be moved to the South. Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau State who is the chairman of the forum, said for justice and peace, power should move to the South.
The decision by the Northern governors didn’t go well with the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello as he was seen storming out of the meeting angrily. Recallthat he is one of the presidential candidates. This was disclosed in a video tweeted by Punch Newspaper few minutes ago.
