Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for visiting the state and recognizing the administration’s efforts to enhance security and development. During President Tinubu’s one-day official visit on Saturday, he commissioned several landmark projects spearheaded by Governor Mbah’s administration.
In a statement shared on his X handle, Governor Mbah thanked the President for his support and the acknowledgment of Enugu’s strides in governance. Highlighting the commissioned projects, the governor noted their transformative impact on the state. These included 30 completed Enugu Smart Green Schools out of 260 under construction, 60 well-equipped Type 2 primary healthcare centers across 260 wards, and the Enugu International Conference Centre, designed as a hub for global engagement. Additionally, 90 newly completed urban roads were unveiled to ease mobility, alongside a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 AI-embedded patrol vehicles aimed at bolstering security.
Governor Mbah emphasized that these initiatives align with his administration’s ambitious vision to expand Enugu’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within eight years. He highlighted that the AI-driven surveillance network and the Distress Response Squad have redefined safety, ensuring peace of mind for residents and creating a conducive environment for investors.
Addressing the people of Enugu, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to building a prosperous state centered on opportunity, service delivery, and economic growth. He called for unity, echoing President Tinubu’s appeal to move beyond political differences and focus on national progress. Governor Mbah assured citizens that the current achievements represent just the beginning of a transformative journey for Enugu State.
