An online report has provided details of how five people including the wife of an army officer and an 8-year-old girl alongside her father were kidnapped in Kaduna State.

The report stated that in the late hours of Tuesday, some unknown gunmen stormed Keke A and Keke B housing units in Kaduna State and kidnapped the wife of a yet to be identified army officer alongside six others.

An 8-year-old girl alongside her father were among the group of people who were kidnapped but the girl was able to escape. While being led away with the other victims, her mother started screaming for help. The screaming rattled the armed kidnappers and at some point, they decided to drop the young girl.

The kidnapping incident occurred at the New Millennium City, an expanded housing layout North of Kaduna, the State capital, which was founded by the administration of former Governor Namadi Sambo.

According to a resident of the area, the kidnappers stormed the area around 11:00 pm and carried out the kidnap operation for about 1 hour.

The kidnappers reportedly went to a big house owned by a military officer. However, the military officer was not at home and they decided to kidnap his wife.

Next, they went on to the house of the neighbor of the military officer and kidnapped the man and his 8-year-old daughter but when the man’s wife raised alarm, the kidnappers let go of the little girl and proceeded with the rest of their victims to an unknown destination.
