The Brazilian chapter of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) was on Monday hosted by Parliamentarians in the House Of Assembly , Saopaulo, Brazil, during the indigenous peoples’ visit.
IPOB members in Brazil who arrived the parliament in their numbers waving Biafra and Brazil national flags, were received by Senator Eduardo Suplicy. Thereafter, they all headed into the parliament chambers to discuss issues concerning Biafra and the degenerating situation in Nigeria.
Senator Eduardo Suplicy in an address to IPOB condemned the social, ethnic, economic and political distress in Nigeria. He stressed that the Nigerian government should listen to the agitators and find lasting solutions to the crisis. He also condemned the seemingly unending conflicts in Africa, especially in Nigeria.
The IPOB coordinator in Brazil, who spoke on behalf of the agitators, asked the Brazilian government to intervene and help in the actualization of Biafra. He equally appealed to Brazil to help halt the violence being perpetrated against the people of the Eastern region in Nigeria. He also called for the immediate release of the detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
