ISPIC Opens German Centre in IMT, Enugu

The Institute for Social Peace and Intercultural Competence (ISPIC) has commissioned its German Centre and German Language School at the Institute of Management and Technology, (IMT), Enugu.

Speaking during the event, a co- founder of ISPIC, Engr. Anthony Dominic said the initiative is about elevating and equipping young people with the skills to excel in their chosen fields without any financial commitment.

He stated that the vision of the project is to have a transformative impact on the Nigerian youth, which will elicit growth and economic emancipation.

In his address, Dr. Emeka Ani, also a co- founder, emphasized the importance of the program towards the growth and development of the youth, using his 26 years’ struggles abroad as a reference point.

He stressed that ISPIC provides a unique opportunity for the youth to make their dreams come true, as there was never such an opportunity for them during their days. Dr. Emeka Ani urged the youths to show their readiness and commitment to learn the German language, as it is the sine qua non to getting all the benefits that come with the program.

Speaking also, Dr. Stefan Eschbach highlighted the ability of the program to bridge the cultural divides gap between Germany and Nigeria, which will strengthen the ties amongst the two notable countries.

The headline sponsor, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hemel, while talking on the reason and importance of the program, described Africa as a continent of hope while also urging Nigeria, especially Enugu State, to utilize the golden opportunity that the program presents for disruptive development; adding that the complementary strength of Europe and Africa could improve with strategic partnerships that the program presents, which will improve lives and promote unity.

In his remarks, the Rector, Institute of Management and Technology IMT Enugu, Prof. Gọzie Ogbodo, thanked ISPIC for their choice of IMT, saying it will be a reference point in the near future.

He stated that the gains that follow this historic partnership will enhance the journey of the remarkable institution to reclaim its position on the global academic stage.

Prof. Ogbodo urged all and sundry, especially young and vibrant minds, to make the maximum use of the opportunity presented by the program; adding that the school management will provide the needed support for it to thrive.

Earlier in his address, the Executive Director of ISPIC, Rev. Fr. Professor Ikechukwu Ani, stated that the initiative is designed to promote mutual respect across cultures while creating opportunities for growth and development.

He outlined ISPIC’s core mission, which includes empowering youths through academic training and skill acquisition programs.

“This center will serve as a global point of contact, fostering solutions to long-standing socioeconomic challenges and driving advocacy through media sensitization.


The Institute for Social Peace and Intercultural Competence (ISPIC) also launched its School of Technical Acquisition, Research Institutes dedicated to Civil Society and a German Centre for language studies.”

“This initiative is in partnership with Chovach Global Concept Ltd., marking a significant step toward advancing technical education, intercultural competence, and civil society research in Nigeria.”

However, the Institute for Intercultural Competence, which is set to commence training by June 1st, and, is poised to become a beacon of hope, dreams fulfilled, equipping Nigerian youths with uncommon skills, fostering global connections, and driving sustainable development.
