The upcoming Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2025, originally scheduled for May 27th and 28th, has been rescheduled to June 5th and 6th, 2025. The announcement was made by Belema George, the Chief Executive Officer of Tech Nexus Ltd, the company organizing the event. Despite the change in dates, the venue remains the EUI Centre in Port Harcourt.
According to George, the decision to postpone the event was made to improve logistical arrangements and enhance the overall quality and impact of the experience for participants. He emphasized that the shift would allow for better planning and increased engagement, ensuring that the event meets the expectations of attendees and stakeholders. Themed “Emergence,” this year’s edition is focused on examining the rapid advancements in technology and their implications for industries, businesses, and communities.
The expo is set to bring together a diverse mix of participants including tech professionals, innovators, startups, government officials, investors, and industry leaders. The event will feature interactive exhibitions, hands-on workshops, keynote addresses from global tech leaders, and networking opportunities designed to foster partnerships and collaborative innovation. Discussions will revolve around key emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and blockchain.
George referenced the success of the 2024 edition of the Tech Expo, which was held in April and drew significant local and international attention. Last year’s event recorded 6,053 online registrations, along with 550 on-site registrations, culminating in a physical attendance of around 4,900 people. Furthermore, virtual participation was exceptionally high, with approximately 300,000 online viewers, underscoring the growing interest in technology within the region.
Building on that momentum, the 2025 event promises to be even more impactful. Organizers aim to provide an immersive experience that showcases innovative technologies and fosters meaningful conversations that will shape the future of tech in Africa and beyond
