President Bola Tinubu has commended Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, for his exemplary leadership and dedication to development. During his first official visit to Enugu, where he inaugurated several projects, Tinubu described Mbah as a focused and result-oriented leader driving progress in the state.
“I salute Peter Mbah for his commitment to development. You’ve built a strong team and impressed me with the technological advancements in Enugu. The private sector’s support for your administration is commendable,” Tinubu remarked.
The president emphasized the importance of unity among leaders, urging them to put political affiliations aside and prioritize Nigeria’s progress. “The election is over; now, we must focus on moving the nation forward. Governor Mbah, you’ve shown an unwavering commitment to human development. Regardless of party affiliation, you’re my friend, and together, we must build a better Nigeria for future generations.”
Tinubu also defended his administration’s removal of fuel subsidies, calling it a necessary step to secure the nation’s financial stability. “We cannot mortgage the future of unborn generations. Removing the fuel subsidy ensures we do not bankrupt the country.”
He praised Mbah’s initiatives to enhance security, particularly the establishment of the Distress Response Squad, which he described as a critical move to safeguard lives and attract investment. “Mbah’s focus on security and providing a safe environment for investors is commendable. The Distress Response Squad vehicles symbolize his proactive approach to protecting Enugu’s residents.”
Tinubu concluded by encouraging the people of Enugu to support Mbah’s vision for the state. “Peter Mbah is committed to driving Enugu’s development and standing as a positive symbol for the southeast. Let’s support him in this journey,” he urged.
