S.Mobile Netzone Ltd, an upcoming telecommunication operator with vision to become one of the leading telecommunication companies in Africa, has unveiled its plans to create over 200,000 job opportunities in Nigeria through its dealership program on S.Mobile Datapin.
The telecommunication company which has over 3 million subscribers already, had a massive rollout recently at Nsukka where it unveiled and empowered a lot of people as partners and distributors of its products. Next, it will hit Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Wednesday, May 25th, where it will on-board its dealership in all the local government areas in the state.
The MD/CEO, S.Mobile Netzone Ltd., Rotarian Kingsley Ifeanyi Adonu, on Saturday shed light on the on-going plan as guest on a radio interactive program, Freedom Square, on Solid 100.9 FM, Enugu, as follows:
“We have partners who are distributing theseproducts for us. In the dealership on-boarding that is ongoing now, if you go to Port Harcourt on the 25th, you will see we are on-boarding dealers in the South South region because our target is to make sure that in every local government in Nigeria, at least in 30 states, we must have at least 2 dealers. It is so because of the volume of what we want to achieve. There is no way we can do it alone, that is why you see all these people that are there.”
The Port Harcourt event is expected to produce at least 46 major dealers for the 23 local government areas in Rivers State in addition to hundreds and thousands of other partners S.Mobile Netzone will take onboard and empower to deal in its products. This will be replicated in all the states of the federation and the FCT consisting of 774 local government authorities (LGAs) and six area councils, at the end of which estimated 200,000 job opportunities will have been created.
Rotarian Adonu, said the challenge of the telecommunication sector is a positive one, which is meeting the ever-increasing demands from people. He therefore advised youths not to wait for government to provide them paid employment but to leverage on the technology to become self-employed adding that S. Mobile trains youths as well as any category of individuals to use their smart phones as an asset to sustain themselves by supplying data to corporate entities and individuals.
