——-Says Peter Obi owes it to his supporters to let them know the platform he is standing on.

A Public Affairs Analyst and Member, Guild of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter, Emeka Odom, made this known while speaking on the topic “Anambra Governorship Election: A Postscript,” on the programme, Beyond the Headlines on Freedom Square TV, anchored by Uchenna Cyril Anioke.

Odom, called on the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to openly declare his current political affiliation, amid growing speculation about his next political move.

Odom stated that Nigerians deserve clarity from Obi regarding the party he presently belongs to, especially as political realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, “ the 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi needs to let his supporters and the people know where he belongs to. He need to let them know the party he belongs to. We know clearly from media reports that Moghalu was or rather an Obi man. Did he support Moghalu? Did he support the ADC candidate? I think also quite frankly, the former labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi need to sort this issue of where he belongs and where he is today. Sincerely speaking is not a matter of sentiment.”

He noted that Obi remains a respected figure with a strong followership across the country, it is important for him to come clean about his political base so that his supporters are not left in confusion.

Odom further noted, that political credibility requires openness, adding that Obi’s silence on his current party stance could weaken the momentum of the “Obidient Movement” if not properly addressed.

He therefore, urged the former Anambra State governor to clarify his position and guide his supporters accordingly.
