The Accord Party has on Sunday through a press statement in Abuja by it’s National Legal Adviser, Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem, expressed fears that Nigeria may cease to exist going by the increasing spate of terrorist attacks in the North and other parts of the country.
According to the statement, the recent attacks in Kaduna State in which many were killed, some injured and yet to be ascertainednumber of people abducted by bandits is an indictment on the security architecture of the country. The party therefore called for an overhaul and the authorities to ensure that the terrorists are apprehended and brought to book in order to deter other criminal minded individuals from toeing the same line.
The Acord Party however, charged the citizenry not to lose hope in the country yet but to pray and seek the face of God to intervene on our behalf. And while expressing confidence that the country’s armed forces might still get it right, the party assured that it will do a much better job securing the lives and property of Nigerians, when it wins the 2023 presidential election.
