On Friday, January 24, 2025, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), which falls under the Ministry of Aviation. The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Along with Ganduje’s appointment, the President also appointed 44 new chairpersons for various federal agencies, including new leadership for the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
The appointees will serve in non-executive roles, with the President advising them to avoid interfering in the management of the organizations they will lead. These appointments are effective immediately.
