The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Monday announced online that he was in Kano on consultation with Kano State stakeholders of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in furtherance of his quest to occupy the seat of the President come 2023.
Gov. Wike posted on his social media handle as follows:
“Earlier today I was in Kano, Kano State to consult leaders and delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party concerning our forthcoming Presidential Primaries.
“While in Kano my team paid homage to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero. We also paid a courtesy visit to the executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Dr. AbdullahiUmar Ganduje OFR before meeting with the Party’s leaders and delegates.
“I thank Kano PDP for the warm reception accorded us. We are optimistic of good support from Kano delegates and confident we would be victorious in the Primaries and emerge as Candidate of the PDP in the 2023 Presidential elections.”
