PETER OBI DECLARES FOR PRESIDENT

The Former Executive Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi on Thursday, 24th March, 2023 formally announced to the general public on the social media platform, Twitter, that he will be contesting for the highest political office in Nigeria in the forthcoming general election.

OBI’S MESSAGE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

His terse message on the social media simply reads –
“Dear Nigerians. I am here to inform you all that I will be aspiring for the post of President of Nigeria in 2023. -PO”
His tweet gained several positive reactions, comments and tons of retweets from Nigerians both within and in the diaspora, which made it one of the foremost trends on Twitter.Ng at the time.

Could this mean that the ex governor has positively impacted on the lives of Nigerians? Anyway, We will have to rely on the old saying “Time shall tell”

Mr. Obi has till date continued to be extolled for his sterling performance in Anambra.
Many believe that he is among the most qualified and competent to seek the office of president of Nigeria given to his laudable achievements while in office as the governor of Anambra State.

This announcement will no doubt put to rest the speculations in some quarters that he might have decided against running for the coveted office given that PDP has failed to state clearly the party’s stand on the contention issue of zoning the presidential slot.
