….Predicts PDP’s Collapse, Ranks Obi Second, ADC Third
In a bold political forecast, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has solidified his hold on the southern region of Nigeria and requires only minimal votes from the north to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
Fayose, known for his blunt political commentary, made this claim while evaluating the current political climate, warning that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may suffer a crushing defeat and finish in fourth place.
According to him, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, is likely to outperform the PDP in the next election. Fayose predicted that the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) would clinch third place, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) retaining power.
“Tinubu, even while outside government, built the APC into a winning machine and led it to defeat the PDP in 2015. In 2023, without strong opposition, he defeated everyone again. People underrate him because he doesn’t speak often, but he’s a master strategist,” Fayose stated.
He continued, “The president has taken full control of the South and only needs a fraction of votes from the North to seal his win. Peter Obi will perform strongly again, and certainly better than the PDP. Mark my words,APC first, Obi second, ADC third, PDP fourth. I’m not here to deceive anyone.”
Addressing criticisms about his loyalty to the PDP, Fayose acknowledged the party’s internal crisis, noting that a mass exodus of key members has weakened its structure. “I said long ago the PDP was becoming a shadow of itself, and today, it’s evident. The party has been reduced to a carcass. You may pretend, but the facts are clear,” he said.
