In a major development monitored by Freedom Square TV, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has expressed profound gratitude and overwhelming excitement following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s landmark approval of two critical road infrastructure projects designed to transform the Southeast region.
In a highly passionate and widely circulated post on his official Facebook page, Governor Soludo declared that President Tinubu is systematically orchestrating the reconstruction of the Southeast, a move he believes is actively healing the decades-old wounds of the Nigerian Civil War.
Soludo, who fondly referred to the President by the traditional titles “DIKESIMBA Anambra” and “DIKESIMBA NDIGBO,” asserted that the President has secured an undeniable date with history through these actions.
According to details shared by the Anambra Governor, the breakthrough came on the heels of a high-level diplomatic meeting between himself and President Tinubu on Wednesday, July 1. The very next day, the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, contacted Governor Soludo to request the exact details of the key transportation corridors they had previously discussed.
By Friday, July 3, Governor Soludo submitted proposals for two critical federal transport corridors. The first project is the Otuocha–Anam–Abaji road, which connects to Kogi State and spans approximately 108 kilometers marked for dualization. The second is the massive 150-kilometer Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube corridor, also slated for dualization, which will seamlessly link Anambra and Imo states directly to the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway through Abia State.
In what has been described as an incredibly swift executive action, Governor Soludo received official confirmation from the Minister of Works on July 15 that President Tinubu had formally approved both major roads for immediate design and procurement.
Speaking on the economic and social implications of the approvals, Governor Soludo described the roads as critical game-changers that will dramatically boost connectivity between the Southeast, South-South, and North-Central geopolitical zones.
Comparing the President’s visionary leadership to his time as Lagos State Governor, Soludo noted that the man who tamed the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos is certainly redefining politics, ensuring the Southeast will never be the same again.
Soludo concluded his statement by noting that this milestone validates why constructive politics and strategic alliances matter, as they yield tangible results that directly improve the lives of everyday citizens. He praised Senator Dave Umahi as ever-productive and predicted that history would be incredibly kind to President Tinubu for his intentionality in rebuilding the region.
