Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed rumours suggesting she has reconciled with her estranged husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.

The actress addressed the speculation in a post shared on her Instagram Stories on Monday, clarifying that videos circulating on social media and fuelling the reunion claims were old and being presented out of context.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” Annie wrote.

Speculation about a possible reconciliation began on Friday, July 17, after an old video resurfaced online showing the former couple sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub.

The clip quickly went viral across social media platforms, prompting widespread reports that the pair had rekindled their relationship months after announcing the end of their marriage.

However, Annie’s latest statement has dismissed the claims, making it clear that the circulating footage was not recent.

Annie and 2Baba, who share two daughters, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together.

Since their separation, the African music legend has moved on with his personal life and is now married to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.

Annie’s clarification comes amid continued public interest in the former couple’s relationship, with social media users frequently revisiting old videos and photographs that often spark fresh speculation about their personal lives.
