Nigerian singer Mayorkun has reunited with Afrobeats superstar Davido for a new single titled “B4 B4,” set for release on Thursday, July 31, marking their first musical collaboration in nearly five years.

Mayorkun announced the upcoming release in a post on his verified Instagram page on Wednesday, sharing a promotional photograph of himself alongside Davido.

“New Music! This Friday! ‘B4 B4’ #Oriade,” the singer wrote.

The track is one of the songs on Davido’s forthcoming album, “Oriadé,” and has already generated excitement among fans and entertainers across social media.

Davido also confirmed the collaboration, responding to Mayorkun’s announcement with a brief but enthusiastic message: “WE BACK.”

Several celebrities joined in celebrating the reunion. Content creator Officer Woos wrote, “Se se see I learnt from the best o!” while music producer Tolazfab and entertainer Lanreysgram also expressed excitement over the collaboration.

Fans flooded the comment section with anticipation ahead of the song’s release.

One Instagram user, @abimbola_lewa, wrote, “Can’t wait to listen to track 7 ofc!” while another, @heatherloves_afrobeats, commented, “Can’t wait to hear this one!!”

The collaboration marks Davido and Mayorkun’s first musical reunion since the “Mayor of Lagos” crooner exited Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2021 to pursue an independent career.

The duo previously delivered several fan-favourite records, including “Prayer” (2017), “Mind” (2018), “Bobo” (2018), “Betty Butter” (2020), “The Best” (2020), and “Cho Cho” (2021).

With “B4 B4” now set to debut as part of Davido’s highly anticipated Oriadé project, fans are eagerly awaiting another hit from the long-time collaborators.
