The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has reaffirmed her commitment to humanitarian service, grassroots empowerment and improving the welfare of vulnerable people as she celebrated her 56th birthday.
In a statement personally signed on Friday, the First Lady expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and appreciated her family, friends and well-wishers for their unwavering support throughout the years.
She also thanked the people of Anambra State and Nigerians for their prayers, goodwill and encouragement, noting that their support has continued to strengthen her resolve to serve with compassion and purpose.
Reflecting on the milestone, Dr. Soludo described her new age as the beginning of another chapter filled with hope, renewed strength and greater opportunities to make a meaningful impact on society.
“I celebrate the priceless gift of life and the grace that has carried me through every season. I am deeply grateful to God for His unfailing love, for my amazing family, friends, and everyone whose kindness, prayers, and support have made this journey richer and more meaningful.
“As I begin another chapter, my heart remains committed to serving with compassion, lifting others, and making every opportunity count.
“I look ahead with hope, renewed strength, and a grateful heart, trusting that the best is yet to come. Happy birthday to me!” she said.
Before becoming Anambra State’s First Lady, Dr. Soludo was widely recognised for her advocacy in healthcare, agriculture and women’s development.
Since assuming office, she has expanded those efforts through her Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, which promotes healthy lifestyles, supports women and children, and drives grassroots programmes aimed at improving the well-being of underserved communities across the state.
Her intervention programmes have continued to focus on public health awareness, nutrition, environmental sanitation, youth and women empowerment, as well as encouraging sustainable agricultural practices.
As she celebrates her 56th birthday, Dr. Soludo reaffirmed her resolve to continue championing initiatives that improve lives and contribute to the development of Anambra State.
