Adebayo Promises to Create 20 Dangotes in Four Years If Elected President

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, has promised to create 20 entrepreneurs with the economic capacity of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, within four years if elected president in the 2027 general election.

Adebayo made the promise while outlining his economic vision for Nigeria, saying his administration would prioritise industrialisation, entrepreneurship and policies that enable businesses to grow into major national and global enterprises.

He argued that Nigeria has the human and material resources to produce more billionaires and industrialists capable of creating jobs, expanding local production and contributing significantly to economic development.

The SDP candidate’s proposal centres on building an economy driven by productive investments rather than excessive dependence on government spending and imports.

Adebayo has consistently advocated policies aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing, expanding agricultural production, improving electricity supply and creating employment opportunities.

In September, while unveiling the SDP’s 2027–2031 governance blueprint, titled Farewell to Poverty and Insecurity, he proposed a series of economic measures, including the establishment of four functional public refineries, 36 modular refineries and increased electricity generation.

He also outlined plans to promote industrial clusters, support small and medium-sized enterprises, encourage technology transfer and expand opportunities for private-sector investment.

The former presidential candidate said his proposed administration would focus on creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, arguing that economic prosperity should be driven by productive citizens and enterprises.

His latest promise adds to the policy proposals emerging from political parties and presidential aspirants ahead of the 2027 general election, with the economy, employment, insecurity and the cost of living expected to feature prominently in the campaigns.
