APGA gubernatorial aspirant Dons Udeh found dead: In a tragic turn of events, the governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)

in Enugu State, Chief Dons Udeh, has been found dead. Udeh was reported missing on Saturday and

was discovered dead just four days after his abduction on Wednesday, in the 9th Mile area of the state.

Udeh was a former Enugu State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and had defected to

APGA in order to pursue his gubernatorial aspirations under the party. Although details surrounding

his abduction and death remain unclear, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe,

confirmed the incident to news men.

Udeh’s disappearance was first noticed when he was last seen on Saturday, raising suspicions that he

might have been kidnapped. On Sunday evening, his phone was found by the wall of the Ogui Police

Station, further confirming fears that he may have run into trouble. His wife, who had been trying to

reach him, was later informed that the phone had been found. She subsequently went to the Ogui

Police Division to report her husband’s disappearance.

The news of Udeh’s death has shocked many, with members of the political class expressing their

condolences to his family. Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, described Udeh’s death as a huge loss to the state and a sad moment for the entire country. Similarly, the National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, expressed shock and sadness at Udeh’s demise and condemned the entire events that led to his death.
