Boko Haram/ ISWAP Spiritual Leader, Other Terrorists Killed In Borno

The Nigerian Army on Friday through its Twitter account announced that  troops of Operation Desert Sanity hasneutralized the Boko Haram/ Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) Amir (commander) and spiritual head of Galta, Abubakar Dan-Buduma, close to Mandara Mountain in the South of Borno, during an operation around Manjo Ali Qerein the South of Borno.

The troops also killed a number of other terrorists and recoveredarms and ammunition during the said operation.
According to the post:


“Gallant Troops of Operation Desert Sanity neutralized several ISWAP/BokoHaram terrorists including the Amir & spiritual head of Galta during an aggressive clearance operation around Manjo Ali Qere in Borno State on Thur 28 April 2022. Arms & Ammunition were also captured,”

It added that 848 civilians were rescued while 119 terrorists were arrested.

Also, a total number of 1,158 terrorists and their families comprising 164 men, 367 women and 627 children surrendered to troops in the last three weeks according to the report.
