Former Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Anyim Pius Anyim, has announced through various online platforms that all is set for him to submit his presidential nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5 Abuja on Wednesday.
Senator Pius Anyim is one of the frontline politicians from the South-East vying for the office of the president under the banner of PDP and who strongly believe it is the turn of the people from the region to produce the president of the country come 2023.
The strong contenders for the presidency in PDP from the South-East region include Mr. Peter Obi, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, and Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa. All three have picked their nomination forms.
Senator Pius Anyim served as Senate President from 2000 to 2003 and as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) from 2011 to 2015.
