Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, on Tuesday, formally declared his intention to run for the presidency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Ayade who is about to round up his second four-year term in office use the occasion to meet with President Buhari behind closed door at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, where he reportedly intimated the President on his intention and solicited his support.

Apart from Ayade, other APC presidential aspirants are Engr. David Umahi of Enonyi State, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
