Former Governor Peter Obi has spoken out against a coordinated effort to blackmail him through the manipulation of videos and misinformation. Obi claims that individuals with malicious intentions have edited and circulated a video of his keynote speech at the installation of Rotarian Professor A. U. Nnonyelu in Anambra State, twisting his words to suggest that he declared war on Northerners. In reality, Obi asserts that he spoke about declaring war on economic stagnation, insecurity, and corruption.

Furthermore, Obi denies leading a protest in Abuja, clarifying that a video circulating online was actually taken during his visit to the Labour Party HQ, where he mediated a clash between the Labour Party and the NLC. He condemns the deliberate spread of misinformation, emphasizing that truth and honesty are essential in a democracy.

the concerns

Obi also expresses concern about genocidal threats against the Igbo tribe, calling for their relocation. He warns that such rhetoric threatens national unity and is contrary to the Constitution, which guarantees every Nigerian the right to live and work freely anywhere in the country. He demands that those in authority take immediate action to investigate, arrest, and prosecute individuals behind this agenda.

Obi urges Nigerians to stand united against divisive rhetoric and champion unity, tolerance, and understanding. He emphasizes that the government and security agencies must act swiftly to protect the fundamental principle of unity and ensure that every Nigerian can live free from fear of discrimination or persecution. Obi concludes by stressing that Nigeria’s future depends on its ability to overcome challenges together as one people, united under God.
