According to a report by BBC News Pidgin on Monday, a family member of the deceased female soldier, Private Gloria Matthew, has finally opened up on the alleged killing incident.
According to the said family member the lady and her fiancé, Linus, together with his relatives were killed by the yet to be identified gunmen. Part of the account is as follows:

“The incident happened around three in the afternoon when she was travelling to Nkwerre from Lagos State…
“The killers directed us to her whatsapp status after we kept calling her phone…
“The leader of the armed men ordered that linus’ relatives should be shot. They were shot right before the ten year-old daughter of Gloria, the female soldier.”
“they went to pick Gloria’s mother, who lives in there (Lagos), so that she can witness the traditional marriage rites in imo state.”
