Tinubu’s first year marked by economic revival and social programmes- SGF Akume: The Secretary to the Government

of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, on Wednesday, said the first year of President Bola Tinubu’s administration

is a testament to his unwavering commitment to serve the country.

Akume said despite the daunting challenges from all angles, the current administration has achieve more in the last

one year since it assumed office on May 29, 2023.

Addressing Journalists at the kickoff of the ministerial briefing to herald the presentation of government scorecard for the

last one year, senator Akume said government has achieved in the areas of Education, Security and Economy. He said while

government is not resting on her oars, efforts were being channeled to other critical sectors, such as the investment, Agriculture and MINNING to reflate the Nigeria’s economy.

He said despite the daunting challenges from all angles, President Tinubu has maintained his calm and demonstrated exemplary

leadership qualities, thereby guiding the nation with vision and foresight.

Tinubu’s agenda

The SGF said from the outset, President Tinubu’s Administration set forth an ambitious agenda focused on economic revitalization,

social inclusion, and infrastructural development just as it has implemented significant economic reforms aimed at stabilizing the

economy and fostering sustainable growth.

On social intervention programs aimed at alleviating poverty and empowering the vulnerable segments of society, he said bold step have also been taken

to provide financial assistance and skill acquisition opportunities.

Information minister Mohammed IDRIS who also made a remark at the briefing said the administration in the last one year.

Recognized the importance of human capital development and has made substantial investments in healthcare and education.

Other strides of the administration in the last one year according to officials include, the launch of new healthcare facilities and the upgrade of existing ones, along with reforms in the educational system which they said underscores Government’s dedication to the well-being and future of the citizens.
