Military Airstrikes Decimate ISWAP Hideouts in Lake Chad, Neutralize 16 Terrorists

In a significant operational breakthrough against insurgent forces in the northern region, the Nigerian military has successfully neutralized at least 16 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists during a coordinated intelligence-led air and ground offensive targeting heavily fortified militant enclaves in the Lake Chad basin.

According to security reports, the precision strikes were executed following actionable intelligence regarding the regrouping and movement of insurgent commanders and their fighters within remote hideouts across the region.

The collaborative campaign, spearheaded by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai in tandem with ground troops, successfully decimated multiple tactical bases used by the terrorists to coordinate attacks against civilian settlements and military outposts. Aerial surveillance confirmed that several logistic depots, concealed camps, and weaponry caches belonging to the terrorist network were completely flattened during the bombardment.

Military authorities have reiterated their unwavering commitment to sustaining the onslaught against remnants of insurgent groups operating within the Lake Chad and Sambisa forest corridors. This latest success underscores the heightened efficacy of combined joint operations aimed at dismantling terrorist command structures, restoring lasting peace, and securing vulnerable border communities across the North-East.
