The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has issued a strong message to those who pose a threat to Nigeria’s peace and stability, affirming that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) will relentlessly pursue and neutralize all enemies of the state. Speaking during the Nigerian Air Force’s Second Quarter Route March held in Abuja on Wednesday, Abubakar reaffirmed the force’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s airspace and ensuring the safety of all Nigerians.
He underscored that the protection of lives and property is the top priority of the NAF, urging officers, airmen, and airwomen to embrace their duty as a critical mission rather than a mere responsibility. He stressed that NAF personnel will continue to secure every part of Nigeria through joint operations, emphasizing that no threat to the nation’s stability will go unanswered. “We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out,” the Air Marshal declared, sending a stern warning to enemies of the nation.
Abubakar also extended gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support to the Armed Forces, particularly in enhancing the operational capability and welfare of personnel. He reaffirmed the Air Force’s loyalty to the president and his administration.
Highlighting the importance of physical readiness, Abubakar announced that physical fitness is now a mandatory standard within the NAF. Going forward, all Performance Evaluation Reports must include a Physical Fitness Test Certificate, and no personnel will be considered for promotion unless they are both physically and medically fit.
Drawing a symbolic link between the route march and NAF’s broader mission, the Air Chief likened the physical exercise to the military’s journey toward peace and national security. He called on all personnel to remain disciplined, focused, and resilient, describing their path as one that leads to victory. He concluded by reminding them that their march is not just physical, but a movement toward purpose, honor, and national triumph.
