Nigerian Sprinter, Favour Ofili, Sets New 200 Meters World Record At 21.96 Seconds

Favour Ofili has broken Blessing Okagbare’s National Record of 22.04 seconds and setting a new World Record at 21.96 seconds in the 200 meters.

Ms. Ofili who is 19, ran the race on Friday at the Tom Jones Memorial beating Kamaya Debose-Epps who ran 22.81 seconds,and Jonah Ross who came in third at 22.91 seconds.

With this feat, Ms. Ofili did not only set a new National Record, NCAA Record, as the fastest so far but has also become the fastest currently In the world and in the new School Record.
