NPA CONGRATULATES THE NEW ONIJAN OF IJAN-EKITI, EKITI STATE

In a press statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Abimbola, the NPA Executive Secretary and issued by Chief Uchenna Cyril Anioke, the President of the prestigious Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA), Chief Anioke has congratulated Oba Lawrence Adebanji Aladesuyi on his ascension to the throne as the new Onijan of Ijan-Ekiti Ekiti State.

As Chief Anioke felicitates with the Oba, he recounts the Onijan’s many great achievements and contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA) especially how he doggedly fought book piracy during his several years of being the Chairman of NPA Anti-Piracy Committee.

in view of the Oba’s actual coronation which is slated to hold on Wednesday the 5th of October 2022, the NPA president, Chief Anioke wishes the Oba the  most successful tenure.

The press statement reads;

The Nigerian Publishers Association, NPA congratulates the new Onijan of Ijan-Ekiti, Oba Lawrence Adebanji Aladesuyi on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.

In a press release issued by the President of the Nigerian Publishers Association, Chief Uchenna Cyril Anioke, the Association felicitates with the new Onijan of Ijan-Ekiti, stressing that his hardwork, resilience and dedication to duty, as well as the love his people had for him has earned him the top position.

He recalled the new Onijan’s past achievements as a publisher, which earned him the topmost position in the Association’s administration, being a member of the Executive Council, the position he has held for over twenty years. Oba Aladesuyi was also the Chairman of NPA Anti-Piracy Committee for several years when he doggedly dealt with book pirates.

He also recalled the new Onijan’s brilliant contributions to the growth of the Nigerian Publishers Association and his achievements as the Country Manager, Cambridge University Press Ltd.

He further felicitates with him on his approval by the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi and his eventual coronation on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
