Obi joined thousands of mourners, alongside global dignitaries and Cardinal Francis Arinze, at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome to pay his final respects to the late Pontiff. The solemn lying-in-state was not only a moment of mourning but also one of deep reflection on the extraordinary life and legacy of a spiritual leader who touched the world.
According to Obi, Pope Francis was far more than the head of the Catholic Church—he was a beacon of hope and morality in a world struggling with injustice and indifference.
