An eyewitness, Victor Andrew, has recently recounted the attack carried out by armed men, which left at least eight people killed and two others injured in Cinke and Zarama villages of Kwall district, Irigwe chiefdom, Bassa local government area of Plateau State.
In a short interview with the TVC News, the eyewitness revealed that gunshots were heard while he was on patrol with some vigilantes around six in the evening. On investigating the cause of the gunshots, the eyewitness claimed to have seen herdsmen together with some men wearing military uniforms carrying out the attack.
In his words:
“Yesterday night, as at six in the evening, I was on patrol with some guys around, we were patrolling around. All of a sudden, we heard gunshots, only for us to cross-check and see that it was herdsmen with some men on military uniforms.”
Residents of Bassa local government area of Plateau state are currently living in fear as gunmen have repeatedly launched deadly attacks on the community.
