President Tinubu Calls for Calm and Dialogue Amid Nationwide Protests: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed the nation on August 4, 2024, amid widespread

protesters, particularly the youth, and assured them that his government

clearance of foreign exchange obligations.

The President discussed various initiatives aimed at empowering young people,

including the student loan scheme, Consumer Credit Corporation, Digital

and Creative Enterprises program, and Skill-Up Artisans Programme.

He also mentioned the distribution of conversion kits for commercial vehicles to reduce transportation costs and curb inflation.

President Tinubu emphasized his commitment to providing incentives for

farmers to increase food production, removing tariffs and import duties

on essential items, and distributing fertilizers to cultivate more land.

He also highlighted his administration’s efforts to improve and expand national infrastructure, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.
