Reverse your fine on channels TV – Dr. Chikezie Obasi to NBC: Nobel Laureate and renowned Nigerian writer, Professor Wole Soyinka, has caused controversy after

referring to the Obedients as verbal terrorists. The comments were made on Twitter and have drawn

the anger of many Nigerians. Soyinka’s statement harks back to a moment in Nigerian history when he

rushed into a radio studio, pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the head of a reporter, demanding that the

election winner not be announced. Soyinka was arrested and jailed for his actions, which were seen as an

attempted coup.
